LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Mosley Dolphins head west Friday to face Fort Walton Beach in an important 6A-1 football game, but they will do so without their head coach.
Jeremy Brown had been suspended one game by principal Brian Bullock.
Mr. Bullock sent a letter to team parents stating the suspension comes in the wake of Brown allowing a volunteer assistant coach with a criminal past to be a part of the team.
In the letter, Mr. Bullock states he told Coach Brown that volunteer assistant should not be around the kids or the program.
The principal states, in his desire to give people a second chance, the coach let his heart affect his judgment. After the volunteer assistant was arrested again, it came to Bullock's attention the coach had disregarded the original directive. The suspension followed.
The Dolphins are 2-3 on the season, coming off a 34-27 loss at Washington to fall to 1-1 in district play.
Assistant defensive coach Danny Nagy step in as interim head coach at Riggs Stadium Friday.
