Mosley volleyball team, Arnold swimmer, rack up postseason accolades

LYNN HAVEN/PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL (WJHG/WECP) Some postseason honors are coming in for some area athletes, some for academic success, another for success in the pool!

First to some serious recognition for the 2017-18 Mosley volleyball team.

Coach Michelle Mask and her Dolphins are one of only five Florida High Schools out of 358 nationally recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with the A-V-C-A Team Academic Award.

Fourteen of those players honored made up last year's roster.

Not only did Mosley dominate on the court making it in the Elite 8, but it obviously excelled in the classroom.

This award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that showed excellence in the sport while maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average.

Congrats to coach Mask and her Lady Dolphins.

Meanwhile an recent Arnold alum honored as an All-American.

Chase Bolding has been selected as a High School All American Swimmer, becoming the third Arnold male swimmer to receive this prestigious distinction in the last 8 years, according to Arnold's swim coach.

Chad McGuire and Cody Bronnenberg are the other two.

Chase the Class 2-A State Runner-up in the 100 Breaststroke this year, setting a new school record in that event along the way.

Chase will continue swimming in college, and will do so on scholarship with the University of Wyoming, he signed with the Cowboys back in May!
