MACON, Ga. (WJHG/WECP) - Jäger bombs at a dive bar might drop you to the floor.
Yeager bombs at the ballpark drop jaws.
Sunday afternoon at home, three of them floored Alabama A&M in come-from-behind fashion.
A two run shot to left field put Mercer on the board in the first inning. Down four runs in the bottom of the seventh, Yeager cranked another home run even deeper to left. Coupled with another solo homer by Kel Johnson, the lead was cut to two by the bottom of the ninth.
In stepped Yeager again...and again, a home run to deep left, this time tying the game at 7.
Mercer won via walk-off later in the frame, an 8-7 victory thanks in large part to a career day for Yeager.
In his 2018 freshman campaign, Yeager hit six home runs all season. He already has six this year in just seven games. He leads the Bears in home runs and RBI with 12.
High school teammate JJ Bleday also had a strong Sunday at Vanderbilt, driving in two runs in the second leg of a doubleheader against Pepperdine.
