Twelve sign scholarships at Mosley

LYNN HAVEN, FL (WJHG/WECP) Thursday was a rather big day in the lives of a dozen Mosley senior student athletes, signing college scholarship offers in the school's Fine Arts Center.

The first to sign, Austin Priemer, gets a soccer scholarship with Huntington College. Teammate Zack Moenter will remain Austin's teammate, signing with Huntingdon as a goalkeeper.

Golfer Danielle Humphreys, the Bay County champ who missed out on competing at state because of the storm, signs on with the University of North Georgia.

Three baseball players sign scholarships. Trent Justice is headed for Marion Military, Drew Yeager signs on with Chattahoochee Valley Community College, and Mason Smith stays close to home with Gulf Coast.

Marksman Dane Harbison signed with the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Then things got busy for Mosley swim coach Steve Burdeshaw, who introduced and watched five athletes sign. Raven Taylor heads to Saint Andrews University in North Carolina and Devin Westbo goes to Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.

For the boys, Mason Legg, a three year competitor at state, inks with Birmingham Southern. Connor Smith, another state contender, signed with South Georgia State.

Spencer Sehlhorst is the lone DI signee. The state champion in the 100 breast will continue at the University of Cincinnati. Selhorst is the first state champ in the pool for the Dolphins since Michael Duderstadt in 2012.
