Two more seniors, Florence and Johnson have their say

FREEPORT/LYNN HAVEN, FL (WJH/WECP) Two more area seniors find themselves in our Senior Spotlight here.

Innovations Federal Credit Union Senior Sports Spotlight

Let's start with Freeport baseball senior Karson Florence.

Karson a .441 hitter on a team that was 9-1 when the season was shut down. He writes to me "I love everything about baseball, it has given me so much opportunity t0 continue playing in college and has taught me many life lessons." He adds "I miss being around all my teammates and especially my coaches, and going out and playing every day.

Next let's shine that Spotlight on Darius Johnson, a pitcher and outfielder the last four years at North Bay Haven.

Darius writes to me "What I miss most about baseball is probably just being out on the field with my teammates playing the game I love. No matter how the season was going, we were always there for each other. I've always been highly competitive, so when it came to game time it was all or nothing."

Darius plans on going to community college and then hopes to transfer to FSU, planning to major in either the medical field or engineering.
