Two more seniors, Nicholas Reid and Madi Grindle, have their say

SOUTH WALTON, FL (WJHG/WECP) On to the next two of our Senior Sports Spotlights. The first of those, the spotlight shines on South Walton tennis senior Nicholas Reid, who played singles and doubles for the Seahawks.

Nicholas writes "I loved being a part of such a competitive team and being able to travel to matches with some of the greatest friends I've ever had. 2020 was disappointing for us as we were in a new vision and were definitely the most competitive team in the panhandle. I'll miss the opportunity we had to compete at the state level as it was our first and last chance for the seniors. I believe the thing I'll miss most is the memories we lost the chance to make."

Our next Senior Spotlight shines of Arnold senior Madision Grindle, who certainly felt the sting of losing senior night, among other things, this spring!

"It hurts a lot, it definitely hurts a lot." Madison says. "Like I said that's what you work towards. That's what your whole high school career's about, your Senior Night, that night that's all about you. And then when you don't get it, it's just...yeah! I miss playing with my girls, I really do. I miss walking out on that field. You know whenever we do the throw-down, whenever the pitcher pitches the ball and the catcher throws it down to second before the inning starts. And then you get the whole team on the field, that's something I'm really gonna miss."
