NEW YORK (Gray Media) - Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was found not guilty on the most serious charges in his racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking case Wednesday.

Combs was found not guilty on one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by a jury of his peers. But the jury did find him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, a violation of the Mann Act, which could still lead to prison time.

The overall verdict is broadly considered a victory for Combs who clapped inside the courtroom before returning to his holding cell.

However, the two prostitution charges each carry a maximum 10-year prison sentence which could potentially keep the entertainment titan behind bars into his 70s. There was a sense of relief surrounding Combs when he heard the jury’s verdict read out.

Combs was denied bail by the judge following a hearing late Wednesday afternoon. Combs’ defense team immediately requested he be released on bond after the verdict rang out, a request the prosecution railed against arguing he would continue to commit crimes if released. The judge set a sentencing date for October 3, but left the door open for Combs’ defense team to petition for sentencing to happen sooner.
