Walmart launches $120 membership combining Walmart+ and Sam’s Club. Here’s a look at the benefits
(Gray News) - Walmart has launched a new membership that combines Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus for $120 a year. That is almost $100 less than paying for the two memberships separately.
Some perks of the new membership include:
- Sam’s Club access
- Free delivery from Walmart and Sam’s Club
- A choice of Peacock or Paramount+
- Gas savings of 10 cents a gallon at more than 17,000 participating stations
- 2% Sam’s Cash on eligible purchases
“We’re giving people a reason to expect more from their memberships,” said John Furner, president and CEO of Walmart Inc. “For $120 a year, we’re raising expectations for what a membership can deliver: more money in their pockets and more time to call their own.”
Walmart said the new membership combines what some may be paying nearly $400 a year for: a retail membership with delivery can cost $139. A warehouse club membership can cost $130. A streaming service can cost $129.99.
Walmart+ annual members can switch to Walmart+ with Sam’s Club Plus for $22 more a year. Sam’s Club members can upgrade to Sam’s Club Plus for $60 more a year and get Walmart+ included. Sam’s Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ at no additional cost. Customers who are already paying for both just need to link Walmart+ and Sam’s Club accounts.
Walmart and Sam’s Club field associates in the United States also get the membership as part of their benefits.
