Outdoor grill blamed for house fire in WaterSound Beach

WATERSOUND BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A home in WaterSound Beach caught fire early Saturday morning. South Walton Fire District firefighters say they had the fire out within 20 minutes of arriving, and everyone inside the home made it out safely. Bay County Fire Rescue also assisted.

The SWFD Fire Marshal believes the fire was caused by an outdoor grill on the second floor of the home. Damage was limited to that area. Firefighters say smoke alarms in the home are credited with alerting those inside to get out quickly.
