PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A local ministry is raising money to help women dealing with addiction. Humble House Ministries’ largest fundraiser was held Tuesday night at First Baptist Church in Panama City. The annual Poinsettias and Pearls Christmas Banquet raises money through donations and a silent auction to fund the residential recovery program.

During the event, residents spoke about how the program is changing lives, helping them fight addiction and in some cases, reuniting with their children. The ministry’s founder is hoping to expand the program to serve more women in need. The program has already expanded outside of Bay County with services now being available in Tallahassee.

Those wishing to find out more about the ministry or ways to donate can visit the Humble House Ministries website.
