PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Bay County Animal Control is hosting a 10-day adoption drive offering reduced $10 adoption fees from Thursday, Oct. 22, through Saturday, Oct. 31, to help ease shelter overcrowding.

Regularly $25, the $10 fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, microchipping, and spay or neuter surgery. Shelter officials say the facility is currently at capacity, with Manager Serina Junger urging residents looking for a new pet to visit and help free up kennel space for incoming animals in need.

Bay County Animal Services is located at 6401 Bay Line Drive in Panama City. Available pets can be viewed online at baycountyfl.gov or by calling 850-767-3333.
