Federal agents spotted at Florida polling locations as early voting continues

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) - Federal agents were spotted at polling locations in Florida this week, including in Tallahassee and Key Largo, prompting election supervisors in both areas to file formal complaints.
Early voting is underway across much of Florida as immigration enforcement remains a point of heightened attention.
Two U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were spotted earlier this week at a library serving as a polling location in northwest Tallahassee.
Meanwhile, masked federal agents reportedly made an arrest at a polling location in Key Largo.
According to a federal agency, a Florida attorney was arrested at the Key Largo polling site for allegedly threatening to kill U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.
Supervisors of Elections in Tallahassee and Key Largo have since filed formal complaints over armed federal agents being present at voting locations.

Florida Republican Party Chair Evan Power said legal voters have nothing to worry about.
Some voters, however, view the agents’ presence differently.
”I guess it’s what the border patrol and they might pass it by or think they’ll come back later and they don’t get a chance to. But yeah, I feel like it probably is intimidation," Leon County voter Bob Daws said.
The developments come as President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Florida Friday for a rally in Fort Myers.
Early voting continues in Florida counties, with Election Day scheduled for Nov. 3.
