WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - President Donald Trump is making his final appeal to voters ahead of Election Day, asking them to back the Republican ticket.

Trump will be on the campaign trail all week, with stops planned in Mississippi on Monday, Texas on Tuesday and Ohio on Wednesday.

With the midterm elections set to determine control of Congress, Trump is working to ensure Republicans remain the majority party. Election Day across the nation is November 3.

Also on Wednesday, the Federal Reserve is set to decide on interest rates.

Economists believe the Fed will likely keep rates steady ahead of the midterm elections, with a possible rate hike before the end of the year in December to address inflation. The decision will come at 2 p.m. local time.

Then on Thursday, Cole Tomas Allen, the accused White House Correspondents Association Dinner shooter, is due back in court.

Allen is scheduled for a status conference as the government and defense work to set a trial date. Attorneys for the government initially sought to schedule the trial for April.
