A Night to Shine Host an Unforgettable Prom

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Tim Tebow’s foundation, A Night to Shine, ensures those with unique abilities dance in the spotlight.

This is the 7th year Hiland Park Baptist Church and A Night to Shine have teamed up to host this prom.

Organizers expected close to a thousand people to attend. During the event, prom-goers could groove on the dance floor, sing their hearts out while performing karaoke, play games, or just relax while eating some of their favorite foods.

The coordinators of this event said they wanted to ensure everyone felt the love from the moment they walked into the moment they left.

“So, we want everyone to feel like this is a special event,” said Wayne Grothman, an executive Pastor at Hiland Park Baptist Church. ”We believe that all God’s people or all people are created by God, and they’re fearfully and wonderfully made. So, when they enter, we want them to make it feel like this is the prom or this is the Grammy’s or something and that they are very, very special and special to us. At the end of the evening, they will all be crowned as a king or queen.”

A Night to Shine is sponsored by legendary Florida Gators Quarterback Tim Tebow and his organization.

Officials at Hiland Baptist Church said it has been an honor to host this event for the past seven years and plan to continue the tradition.
