Churches unite for second annual Faith Festival at Aaron Bessant Park
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Faith and celebration filled Aaron Bessant Park as churches of all denominations came together for the second annual Faith Festival.
Hosted by the Ark Transitional Housing Ministry, attendees enjoyed Christian music, vendors and testimonies from Ark residents.
There was also a prayer tent, plus on-site baptisms.
The free event aimed to bring people together to celebrate faith.
“Today has been amazing, so many people have given their live to Christ,” said organizer Liz Bennett. “We had some bikers come up just a little while ago. They heard the music. They didn’t even know it was going on. A husband and wife gave their lives to Christ, then just decided they wanted to make that commitment, profess it publicly, and get baptized. And we’ve just seen that all throughout the day today. It’s just been so fantastic.”
Organizers say attendance and church participation have both doubled since last year, and the festival will be back next year
