PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - One local hobby store is joining the growing list of local businesses aiming to help out those who were most affected by last week’s tornadoes.

PCB Hobby, located on Back Beach Road, is a store that collects, trades, and sells coins, comic books, sports cards, trading card games, and more.

Saturday at noon, they are hosting a coin auction on the “Whatnot” app.

They’ve received coin donations from more than 30 currency dealers throughout the country.

The goal is to raise $15,000 for tornado victims.

The money raised will be given to Northstar Church’s “For Bay County” foundation, which will distribute it to victims of last week’s storms.

The idea for the fundraiser came from PCB Hobby’s head coin dealer, Kate.

”While there was a few damages to her property, she made it out alive and made it out safe, and skirted tragedy. She looked around, and 50 yards from her, where she was staying at the time of the tornado, and saw houses destroyed completely. She thought, you know what, we need to do something to give back, we need to help out, and that’s why we’re doing this,” said PCB Hobby owner Todd Mueller.

If you would like to participate in the auction, download the “Whatnot” app and search for the user “PCBCoins.” The auction starts promptly at noon on Saturday.

If you would like to donate coins, funds, or anything else to the cause, swing by PCB Hobby, located at 11939 Panama City Beach Pkwy in Panama City Beach. You can also call 850-320-8388.

If you or someone you know is a tornado victim who could use the auction proceeds to help build back, contact Northstar Church at 850-215-4812.
