PCB moves forward on new sidewalks for Clara Avenue, Cobb Road
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City Beach officials took the first step Thursday toward adding new sidewalks along Clara Avenue and Cobb Road.
Council members voted to move the project for both roads into the engineering phase,
Clara Avenue and Cobb Road see a lot of traffic, and without sidewalks, it can be difficult to get around safely.
Mayor Stuart Tettemer said walkability is a priority for the city.
“Walkability is extremely important to us here in PCB, and those roads were identified as needing some additional sidewalk enhancements. So, we have enabled engineering to start on both Cobb and Clara,” Mayor Tettemer said.
Mayor Tettemer also said they hope to get engineering back early to mid-next year before moving to the next phase.
