Police say that at approximately 7:30 p.m., they received a 911 call regarding shots fired at 10th Street and Jenks. Upon arrival, authorities say they found 57-year-old Tammy Chambers dead in a vehicle.
“I want to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Tammy Chambers,” said Panama City Police Chief Mark Smith. “Tammy’s life was taken in a senseless and heartbreaking act of violence,” said Panama City Police Chief Mark Smith.
At the press conference, Chief Smith stated that she was leaving work when she was shot multiple times.
" At the time of the attack, Tammy was on her phone with her husband, discussing dinner plans for the evening," said Chief Smith. “Tragically, her husband heard the entire encounter that she had with this incident. He heard her take her last breaths.”
In less than 24 hrs, 3 individuals were arrested in connection with this murder.
- Kamilah Armstead, 33 years old - Accessory After the Fact (Murder)
- Uriah Armstead, 16 years old - Murder

According to the Police, the two teens met in prison; they say it was Sutton who fired the shots.
He adds that Sutton had just entered probation after serving three years in the Department of Corrections for three counts of attempted murder.
According to authorities, Tammy was a victim of mistaken identity.
“They were set to engage in a physical confrontation with another individual; they felt that that individual would bring a firearm to the confrontation, and so Sutton brought a gun to the confrontation,” said Chief Smith. “(He) chose just to immedietly approach a vehicle that he assumed was occupied by the individual that they were beefing with, and fired multiple rounds into that vehicle.”
Chief Smith said Panama City police are committed to seeking justice for Tammy Chambers.
